The good news is the following steps will be helpful in resolving your issue of multiple notifications for the same message in Facebook. First, remove notifications in Safari Preferences for the Facebook website, then restart your Mac and log into Facebook in Safari, as It’ll ask for permission for notifications again the next time you visit it and test your issue.
